Computer is amazing

Great packaging. PC worked perfectly.

I recently purchased the Andromeda Insights AI Galaxy V3, configured with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, NVIDIA RTX 5080 16GB, 64GB DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. My total cost was approximately $3,100, including the memory and storage upgrades.

Having worked in the computer industry for over 25 years, including extensive experience building, repairing, and troubleshooting PCs, I tend to look beyond flashy RGB lighting and benchmark numbers when evaluating a new system.

Build Quality

The first thing that impressed me was the overall assembly. Cable management is exceptionally clean, components are neatly installed, and the case provides excellent accessibility.

One particularly interesting feature is the adjustable three-position lower fan assembly, which allows airflow to be directed toward the graphics card. It’s a thoughtful design touch that I haven’t encountered in my previous systems.

The system also arrived with a detailed quality-control checklist documenting the inspection and testing performed before shipment.

Performance

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5080 make an excellent combination. My primary workloads include AI image and video generation, ComfyUI, MiniMax H3, Topaz Video AI, local language models, and other demanding creative applications.

The additional 64GB of RAM has been particularly useful for these tasks, and the system represents a substantial upgrade over my previous RTX 4070 Ti machine.

One of my most impressive real-world tests involved an eight-hour automated AI music-video generation job that kept the RTX 5080 at 100% utilization throughout. The computer completed the entire workload without a single issue. That’s exactly the kind of sustained performance I was hoping for.

Initial Stability Issues

In the interest of providing an honest and balanced review, I did experience two unexpected system crashes shortly after receiving the computer.

The first involved a complete power shutdown while running an intensive AI video-generation workload. The second occurred while using Topaz Video AI and Clipchamp simultaneously, resulting in a black screen and automatic reboot.

Naturally, experiencing two crashes with a brand-new computer was concerning, particularly given the investment.

I contacted Andromeda Insights support, and their responses were prompt, detailed, and professional. They provided specific troubleshooting recommendations, identified the exact power supply installed, and explained their warranty options, including component replacement if necessary.

I subsequently performed a clean installation of the NVIDIA graphics drivers, following a general troubleshooting recommendation on their website.

Since that installation, the system has been completely stable for approximately a month, despite extensive use and some extremely demanding GPU workloads.

While I cannot definitively attribute the original crashes to the graphics drivers, the fact that the system has operated flawlessly since the clean installation is certainly encouraging.

Customer Support

This deserves special recognition.

Rather than simply sending generic troubleshooting instructions, Andromeda’s support team took the time to address my specific symptoms and explain their diagnostic reasoning.

They were transparent about the power supply manufacturer and model, offered practical troubleshooting suggestions, and made it clear that they would stand behind the product if a hardware defect were identified.

As someone with a long background in IT support and computer hardware, I particularly appreciate dealing with a company that communicates clearly and takes technical concerns seriously.

Overall Impression

After approximately a month of ownership, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase.

The performance is excellent, the assembly quality is impressive, the case design is thoughtful, and the system has proven capable of handling sustained, demanding AI workloads.

Although the initial crashes were disappointing, the subsequent stability and excellent customer support have given me confidence in both the computer and the company behind it.

For anyone looking for a powerful gaming, content-creation, or local AI workstation without having to source and assemble every component themselves, I would absolutely recommend considering Andromeda Insights.

At approximately $3,100 for my upgraded configuration, I feel I received excellent value.
